Stamps Railway Lines on Maps on Stamps by Horst Brix |
Maps or city plans with railway lines or strassenbahnlinien
Railway lines on maps should not be difficult to find nevertheless. But the exact opposite is the case. The even maps represented on
stamps often give for misleading interpretation cause or do not show the railway lines not clearly.
In the course of the handling of these labels and the discussion with others Collecting tank friends resulted it that rules for this type
labels do not exist. Can one recognize each line on a label, which could be perhaps a railway line, for our assembly area? I mean: No. I
tried therefore to define on the basis the available labels basic rules and my a railway line am then available:
1.If the label shows the unique kartenzeichen for a railway line. That is a broken through line, which consists of black and white
rectangles, if this character not when military character is used, in order to
represent the own and the hostile front.
2.If the label represents the railway line on the card in different colours to roads,
rivers and national boundaries. In this case each line the same colour can be
identified as railway line. If a Mixup of railway lines, roads, rivers and national
boundaries exists in the same colour, she cannot be regarded normally as
railway topic desks label. However if an exact documentation and proof are
added, it is to be added to the railway topic.
3.If the label except the national boundaries lines in a colour and everything
shows these lines as railway lines to be identified can, then the label of the
railway topic is to be added. Gives it only one line on the represented card,
none Railway line is not, then normally. Becomes however one exact
documentation and proof added, are it that To add railway topic.
(I may not use the Michel numbers after message of the Schwaneberger of publishing
house . I will put in front to each label my own numbering and in the course of the
time the exact date of issue will add.
Valuable notes I got from the collecting tank friends Keith Downing, Werner
intelligent one and Herbert Spacek with which I particularly to thank you would
like myself.
In the course of the time from this list an also figurative representation of all labels with railway lines
or strassenbahnlinien on maps or city plans will develop.
About additional notes and criticism I would be pleased.
